That Sinking Feeling

For those of us who may be fans of Barack Obama (I feel I can shrug off my journalistic objectivity (ha!) on this issue because as a non-citizen, I can’t vote for any of the real or no-chance candidates), today brought two bits of bad news. First, there’s that whole thing where taking on Hillary Clinton’s campaign debt means he has to raise even more money…after turning down public financing for the general election….during a recession. And then there’s the report that he might be vetting Chris Dodd for the VP slot! Dodd?! Of Connecticut? Two northerners? And that balances the ticket…how, exactly? Has no one in the Obama camp noticed that all the Democratic presidents since Kennedy have been Southerners (and that even Kennedy had a Southern running mate)?
I mean…this guy?! A guy whose profile is so low there’s only one clip of him on the site, and it’s this?
No no no no no. Obamans, go back to figuring out how you could possibly rook John Edwards into doing this again.
