As American markets try to recover from Fed chief Ben Bernanke’s gloomy testimony before Congress yesterday, Canada has something to add: sucks to be you. Yeah, in case you didn’t hear about Canada’s nice big trade surplus a couple of days ago, evidently Canada’s Finance Minister wanted to rub it in. I suppose it’s possible that this could still be a factor in the Presidential race — and only one candidate has visited Canada recently, to reassert his support of NAFTA.
Easy to say when your economy has less to protect, buddy. Don’t think we haven’t noticed you making eyes at all our nice clean water.
