It is certainly very rare for me to have anything pleasant to say about a right-wing hack, but I will give the late Tony Snow credit for a few things: he was smart and quick, and he really did seem to love his late-in-life change of career from FOX News “journalist” to White House Press Secretary.
Maybe the nicest thing I can say about him is that his talents really seemed to be wasted in that gig.
It’s even rarer for me to have anything nice to say about the current president, but he obviously had a lot of respect for Snow and said some lovely things at Snow’s funeral today, along the lines of his comments upon Snow’s retirement from the White House.
Goodbye, Tony. Wherever you are, I hope you’re sparring genially with the liberal media.
